Internet-based Links for Finding "Evidence"

The links below are extracted from the PowerPoint presentation on "Evidence-based Medicine" given in the KCOM Differential Diagnosis in July 1999 by Robert W. Baer, Ph.D.  The links include general starting points of various sources of "Evidence" available on the Internet.  Some specific examples are given with respect to "sample seaches" on "evidence related to cardiac enzymes".  The links and samples are NOT exhaustive.  More exhaustive EBM resource listings include: the Randolph and Markovitz Site and the IntensiveCare.com site, especially the tutorial.

The original presentation and the slides containing the original "hot" hyperlinks are also available (at least to Windows users with Internet Explorer) on this site.  This page is provided mainly as an alternative for those with older Macintosh computers, older viewing software,  and Netscape browsers, (or anyone else who has found the original formats inaccessible or inconvenient).
